Credit guide
This guide explains who we are, how we work, what we're paid, and what to do if you're unhappy. We'll also give you a copy before we help you with a loan.

Who we are
Fortis Funding is the trading name of D C Money Pty Ltd ACN 633 694 729, which holds Australian Credit Licence 518978. You can check our licence on the ASIC professional register.

We're a finance broker: we help you find and apply for credit with a lender. We don't lend money ourselves.
The lenders we use most
We work with a panel of 39 lenders. The ones we use most are Liberty Financial Pty Ltd, Pepper Money Pty Ltd and Plenti Pty Limited.
Making sure a loan suits you
Before we help you apply, we must make reasonable inquiries about your needs, goals and finances, check what you tell us, and work out whether the loan is not unsuitable for you. We can't help you apply for a loan that's unsuitable.
You can ask us for a copy of that assessment. If you ask before your loan is approved, or within 2 years of us doing it, we'll give it to you within 7 business days. If you ask after that (up to 7 years), we'll give it to you within 21 business days.
Fees you may pay us
If your finance settles, our fee is up to $1,990 (including GST). It's the only fee we charge you, and it can be added to your loan or paid to us directly. If your finance doesn't settle, you don't pay us anything.
We give you a written quote with our fee before we help you, and you can ask us how it's worked out. Your lender may also charge its own fees, such as application or valuation fees, which are in your loan contract.
Commissions
Lenders may pay us a commission once your loan is approved and the contract is signed. It's paid by the lender, not you, and is usually between 0% and 15% of the amount financed. You can ask us for an estimate.
If someone referred you to us under a formal arrangement, such as a car dealer, we may pay them a referral fee out of our commission (up to $2,000), again at no cost to you.
